Controller — Consumer Products Manufacturing (Salt Lake City Metropolitan Area)

A growing consumer products manufacturing company with multiple well-known retail brands is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting operations and support continued expansion. This is a high-impact role working closely with executive leadership to ensure financial accuracy, operational scalability, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead full-cycle accounting operations, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls; lead external and internal audits.
• Partner cross-functionally with HR, Operations, and leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and headcount planning.
• Optimize financial systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP) to improve reporting, accuracy, and automation.
• Hire, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting team.
• Manage tax compliance and coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Prepare executive-level financial reports, variance analyses, and board/investor materials.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Experience in manufacturing environments, including inventory and cost accounting.
• Expertise in close cycles, financial consolidations, and multi-entity reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or ERP) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
• Process-oriented with an ability to design and scale systems to support growth.
• Proven leadership skills with experience developing teams.
• Excellent executive communication and business partnering skills.
